What is PRP?
Gaining worldwide attention for its ability to regenerate and heal injured tissue, PRP has recently been found to have several benefits in the aesthetic industry. It is created through a multi-step process utilizing the patient’s blood.
After a small blood sample is taken, it is put through a sterile centrifugal process that separates platelets from other blood cells. Platelets, while primarily responsible for clotting the blood, also contain several growth factors that can play a major role in regenerating tissue.
This mixture of plasma – the liquid component in blood – and platelets is known as PRP. The centrifugal process enriches the plasma with more platelets that normal, boosting the amount of tissue-building potential. The PRP is extracted from the rest of the blood sample, and either injected or applied topically into treated areas of the patient.
PRP Facial with Micro Needling
At Rejuva Aesthetics and Wellness Center, our PRP Facial treatment utilizes PRP with micro-needling to help create a fresh, new surface and restore a healthy glow to the face.
This is the latest technology for skin rejuvenation involving regenerative medicine. It is the combination treatment of SkinPen Micro Needling and your own Stem Cells. The SkinPen (instrument that creates micro-channels into the skin and stimulates collagen and elastin) strengthens, retextures and smooths out fine wrinkles. Patients’ own stem cells and growth factors (PRP) are harvested and distributed throughout the area. The skin is known to rebuild itself from the inside out – resulting in smooth, firm, brighter and glowing skin.
This procedure does not involve heat, rejection or an allergic reaction, making it ideal for all skin types – It is highly recommended for the following:
- Acne Scars
- Fine Lines and Wrinkles
- Enlarged Pores
- Skin Elasticity
- Hyper Pigmentation
- Hair Restoration
- Stretch Marks
Why Choose Treatment with PRP?
Platelet-rich plasma has been incorporated into several skin rejuvenation and medical treatments worldwide due to its proven healing properties and multiple benefits, including:
- Significantly reduced risk of adverse reactions, as PRP utilizes your body’s tissues
- While other skin rejuvenation treatments are temporary and use synthetic components, PRP promotes healing from the inside out and provides subtle, long-lasting improvement after treatment is over.
- While slight bruising, redness and swelling at injection sites is common, PRP has no proven major side effects, making it one of the safest rejuvenation solutions on the cosmetic market
